Can rp5400 processor run on rp7400????

Such a stupid question but actually i'm facing a serious problem.I have 6 cpu PA8700 750MHz running on rp7400. One day the server accidently hang up, and some GSP logs told me that one of the cpu hang. If i wait for analyzation respone from HP Response Center, it would take me some weeks, but the situation is quite critical for me. I want to test each CPU on another machine but i dont have a same rp7400.Instead i have an rp5430. Although 2 type of CPU are difference part number, there's something in my mind that i can try.

Anyone can give me some suggestion?

The rp7400 CPUs will work in the rp5430.

You can only install 2 CPUs at a time in the rp5430, and also you should make sure that the dipswitches are set like this:

1 - on
2 - off
3 - off
4 - on
5 - on
6 - off
7 - on
8 - off

You will also need a processor support module from the rp7400 installed in the rp5430.

one last thing:

Be *VERY* careful with the CPU modules, and do *NOT* touch the bottom of the CPU under any curcumstances. also, you should make sure that the sockets are clean before installing a CPU in the slot.

only the rp5470 and rp5430 will accept the 750MHz processors. Make sure that the Model number of the system is one of these:
A6797B
A6797BR
A6144B
A6144BR
