How to know processor is single / multiple core ?

Hi Admin,

I have a HP Server with single processor.
# uname -a
HP-UX SERVER B.11.00 E 9000/887 486398211 8-user license

How to know this processor is single / multiple core with any command.

Regards,
Viswa.

The fact that you're running HP-UX 11.0 tells me that this machine is too old to be a dual core. What does the "model" command tell us this machine is?

Re: How to know processor is single / multiple core ?

This looks to me like an (very) old G/H or similar system - at least 10 to 15 years old.

Dual cores in the early nineties? Never.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

It would just about have to be, since same machine ID.

Yep, same system, same assumption about model and age ...

With some luck it is a dual CPU ... never a dual core ;-))

BTW, The H70 and G70 were able to use 2 PA-7100T with 96 MHz.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
