K570 Error Message FLT CBEB

Hello,

I had a K570 server go down with the following message on the LCD panel :

FLT CBEB
TRAPS 0

I've been unable to find what this messge means. I've looked at the K Class troubleshooting guide, butthere is no information about that specific problem.
Anybody knows what it means ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Guillaume,

I don't see a FLT CBEB for K-Class Server. Take a look at the link posted by Paul in the thread below for the details on the error code on a K-Class Server.

Hope this helps.

I know, I've browsed the document already.

Thats why I posted. It's not appearing in
the document, but It's what was written
on the LCD Panel.

CBEB is a HPMC. What state was the system in when it failed? Sounds like either a bad system board or CPU.

Re: K570 Error Message FLT CBEB

The system was working,

It stopped, and I was called about 4 hours latter ( during the night. ) When I arrived on site, I found the System 'halted' and the
LCD message.

I just restarted the system by turning the
key. ( first to the 'off' position, then to the 'running' one )

The system came back online without any
problem.

The only thing that might be 'special' about this server is that it has a SIU rack.
( SS7 signalling )
And it's not a common piece of hardware in France.

You could check the ts99 file under /var/tombstones to see if any valid info is there. If that is not there then at next downtime stop boot process and go into Service Menu and run command PIM. Again look for valid info. What you will be looking for is a set of chassis codes and the timestamp.

Thanks for the information,

I'll check that when it's possible.

Re: K570 Error Message FLT CBEB

Is the serial number of the system between 3830A00000 and 3846A99999? I've replaced many a CPU with this error, more than likely CPU0. If your serial number is between the given. It is covered under Service Note A4881-03A.

Best of Luck
