Please read this too:

http://docs.hp.com/en/A7136-96003/A7136-96003.pdf

Re: LCD monitor problem

You need a minimum firmware on the server, see

http://docs.hp.com/en/SFWM1/ch04.html

(PDC 45.44)

You need to install the card in a dedicated slot and finally you need probably some patches, see

http://docs.hp.com/en/AB551-90003/AB551-90003.pdf - Chapter 4

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: LCD monitor problem

Did you install all patches, verify the installation with "ioscan" and "setmon" and adjusted the Xserver?

Have a look at page 29 in the manual for troubleshooting tips.

Be aware you won't get a console output there. The console is still on serial. The VGA is only connected to the Xserver.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: LCD monitor problem

ioscan without "-fn" is not really helpful, but anyway, how about this:

"Warning: No X server is running"

You cannot get anything on the screen without a running XServer. Refer to the manual again.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
