Need to collect System Information for L2000 and N-Class

Hi all,
I need to collect information about the system (mem. processor, Disk, firmware, etc) to the minute details. Jus wondering if anyone know any scripts I can use to get this information.

Thanks

Hi,

The best option is to generate reports from STM. This will report all information you needed about memory, disk, CPU etc.

Hi,

Here's a thread with some ideas including Ignite's print_manifest, nickel, and cfg2html:

Re: Need to collect System Information for L2000 and N-Class

Hi,

I have here a tool provided by HP called
'SIR' (system information reporter). It
comprises a bunch of scripts and can even
generate it's own web pages. It is really
easy to set up and use. It comes in it's own
depot file ready to load. Please post
your e-mail address so I can send it to
you.

Re: Need to collect System Information for L2000 and N-Class

Just a bit of background. SIR was developed by HP for capturing information on your server and periodically uploaded to there site, so that it made support issues easier. Now before I make rash promises about giving it out I'll have to make sure there are no licensing issues. You can of course get your own feedback direct from HP by writing to this e-mail address:

sir_feedback@sir.aus.hp.com

Re: Need to collect System Information for L2000 and N-Class

Use the nickel script which will do it all automatically and present it in html format (nicer than collectInfo)

It works for me (tm)

Re: Need to collect System Information for L2000 and N-Class

Hi Sushil,

Try cstm,

echo 'selclass qualifier all;info;wait;infolog' |cstm >/tmp/system_name.txt

Hope this helps.

Re: Need to collect System Information for L2000 and N-Class

Hi Sushil,

You can also try cfg2html as suggested by Sandip. download the cfg2html sd install program for hp-ux from the link below,

http://members.tripod.com/rose_swe/cfg/cfg.html

This program will generate extensive system configuration in a txt as well as html format.

Hope this helps.
