Powertrust Problem (A2998A)
Hello!
I am unable to turn on a A2998A. The power outlet has power. What should I check?
Thanks,
Emil

Re: Powertrust Problem (A2998A)
Emil,
Two questions:
Do you follow the power-on procedure?
Which LEDs are on?

There is no good troubleshooting with bad data

Re: Powertrust Problem (A2998A)
Patrick:
Power-on procedure??? I normally switch on at the back, and then turn on the switch on the front.
No LEDs. When I turn on the other Powertrust UPS's that I have, I can hear it starting up. With this one, I don't hear anything.
Thanks,
Emil

Re: Powertrust Problem (A2998A)
Hi Emil:
1) Make sure that you truly have power to the UPS.
2) Make sure that the 'UPS/BATTERY' switch is 'ENABLED'.
3) Make sure that the 'EMERGENCY POWER OFF TERMINALS' either have the shorting bar in place or if using an external circuit that the circuit is closed.
4) Close the power input breaker.
5) Set the Front Panel swithch to '1' (ON).
If the above fails, call HP. You probably have a bad electronics unit.

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
