Re: Reboot after panic (rp5470 HPUX 11.11)
HPMC
High
Priority
Machine
Check
A CPU or something has gone down. You need to boot, interupt the boot and run the hardware diagnostics.
If the machine does reboot to OS then run mstm/cstm or mstm and find the missing component. If its a CPU that should be pretty easy.
Then get hardware out to service the machine.

Re: Reboot after panic (rp5470 HPUX 11.11)
As others indicated, HPMC means an hardware has encountered error. HP is the right source decode it.
However, Your system should be up and running now. Please post the /var/tombstones/ts99 file from the server here. This should contain the HPMC information.
With regards,
Mohan.

Re: Reboot after panic (rp5470 HPUX 11.11)
What is the IO card on slot 12 on this system? This is the top most slot of the system. The hardware path is 0/10/0.
Please check if you have loaded all the latest patches specific to this IO card. If you are sure all patches are in place, then it is time to suspect the card or slot.
I would first check for patches then replace the card on that slot.If problem persists, the slot is the suspect.
Do get back to us.
With regards,
Mohan.
