Hi Ziad,

you're right, update from A.01.xx to B.02.xx revision is a hardware upgrade and you would have to obtain a new Core I/O board. The B-GSP-Core I/O ("Maestro GSP") has part number A3639-60019 and comes only with the A3639C product Version of the rp7400. The older rp7400 versions had the "Tosca GSP" together with an external Secure Web Console. Normally there is no need for an update. Enhancments of the Maestro GSP are internal Web-Console and 100 Mbit network ...

Hope this helps, best regards

Here is a link for the GSP upgrade of an rp5400. The process will be similar to the 7400 I beleive.

http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/A5191-96020/A5191-96020.html

(docs.hp.com -> Systems Hardware -> rp54xx -> Upgrade Guide)

Unfortunately, HP, in all its wisdom, has deemed this info inappropriate for public use. If you go to docs.hp.com and navigate to the 7400 section, you see a whole bunch of goodies locked under "Authorized Service Provider Information". Why an upgrade guide would be restricted is beyond me, but that is the way it is.

Perhaps if you call and beg someone at HP will send it to you.
