Which Machine is this?

Just inherited a D Class HP9000,
there is no model number on it, but the part number is A3336A

Any idea which model this is?
I am guessing its an 800 series

The closest model number I could find is for a A3335A which is for a 2 way 100 mhz D350 (typo or misread maybe?). In any event, The D class is part of the 800 series - server class.

Type a "model" command. then there'll show you a model such as 9000/801/D200 .
Above is a model 801.
And A3336A is a product number.

A3336A can be any of the D2xx Servers.
It is considered an s800 (server vs. a s700 workstation).

I have the November 1999 Configuration Guide and as Tim said, the A3335A is a 2 processor D350. There is no A3336A in the guide so I assume your box started as a 2 way D350 and at some point was upgraded. Then the new lable was slapped on.

_power on_ your D-box
and have a look at LCDs lower line:
on my box I see "HP D370 CPU0" this is a D370/1.

Upper line shows so called "chassis codes". Once Selftest is finished and we've booted fine there should be "RUN F10F": FxyF I'm running fine on x cpus with load y (0-A)

I have a few of the A3336A servers. They were part of package that came through a VAR. On the product list for each of these A3336A servers is listed the A3333A product, which is a D250/2 server.

Therefore, what you have are D250 servers that should include two CPUs.
