2510-24 port speeds
So I have recently installed a procurve 2510 switch, but for some reason, everything is auto negotiating to 10fdx. Even happens when plugged directly into the switch with a cat 6a patch lead from my laptop which has a 1G ethernet card.
I have barely configured the switch at all, other than giving it an IP and a name. Anything I can do to get the thing to auto negotiate a better speed?

Re: 2510-24 port speeds
Personally, I suggest you to use static speed and duplex at both edges.
There isn't any other way to do auto negotiation except auto-100, auto-1000 or auto-10-100

Re: 2510-24 port speeds
Change the port config to auto-1000 and see what happens.
If you have faulty cables, you'll get no link.
