Aruba Switch 2540 - Change Date and Gateway

Hi together,

can someone please tell me where i can change the actual date and Gateway of such a switch? I found this information neither in the menu within putty nor in the GUI...

Hello,

You can try below from cli

acc-2(config)# time ?     <--Options available
begin-date The date when daylight savings time begins.
MM/DD[/[YY]YY] The new date
daylight-time-rule The daylight savings time rule for your location
end-date The date when daylight savings time ends.
HH:MM[:SS] The new time
timezone The number of minutes your location is West(-) or
East(+) of GMT
acc-2(config)# time 03/18/2021 14:15:0       <--Changing the time
Thu Mar 18 14:15:00 2021

acc-2(config)# show time
Thu Mar 18 14:15:04 2021
acc-2(config)#

acc-2(config)# ip default-gateway ?
IP-ADDR IPv4 address of the default gateway.
acc-2(config)# ip default-gateway <gateway IP>    <--Changing default gateway

Hmmm... when i want to enter the "Command Line (CLI)" menu nothing happens. It won't enter the "config" menu... S

Says @ "Switch>"

When i try to do same with an Aruba 2530 it works! Switch(config)>

Any other hints?

Can you type enable and enter ?

Switch>enable

switch# config t

switch(config)#

When i type "enable" and enter i will be asked after a username and password... and then return back to

So the switch has enable login and password.

Seems you are entering wrong user name or password.
