BPDU protect Issue

Hi, today one of my production servers got blocked by the BPDU protect feature on my 5412zl switch, as i understand a server NIC should not send BPDU packets, so how could this happen?

ports:  BPDU protect(5) has disabled port F19

Appreciate your help on this issue if someone has experienced this same behavior.

Hi Luis,

Theoretically, this should not happen, but there are circumstances where a server can emit BPDUs, particularly when Linux bridging is used, or if a VM is using packet-crafting tools.  If you experienced repeated issues with this, you might want to consider BPDU filter on the server port in question instead of BPDU protect.
