Changes on vlan port settings on HP 2910AL don't change the configuration

I have made changes to a vlan on my switch instead of ports 1-48 tagged for vlan 25 which is our voice vlan to tag only 1 -40 and 48.  Did a write mem to the switch and when I go back in it still is the same as before with all the ports tagged on vlan 25. Something is not working.  Tried in the GUI as well and it doesn't seem to work there either. Software version  on switches - W.15.08.0012.  Am I missing something here?

It's possible that if you applied a setting to port 1-48, then did it again to port 1-40,48 it would still apply to all and what you actually need to do is explicitly unset it on ports 41-47. Or it could be a bug; seems like a big one to slip past QA though.
