Hi,
I want to change the speed of a port of ProCurve J9087A Switch 2610-24-PWR to support 1000mo
Although when I run this command :
(eth-3)# speed 1000-full
I got this error "Value 1000-full is not applicable to port 3"
The port is (10/100TX) and the mode is MDIX
Any idea?
Thank you.

SolutionImpossible to change speed port to 1000 Mbps (1 Gbps) on Port 3 considering all 24 ports are 10/100 Mbps at maximum (Ethernet/Fast Ethernet not Gigabit Ethernet as you want)...your Switch is a Fast Ethernet Switch with just some ports (25-28) that support Gigabit Ethernet...thus, at best, you can use one of the four Combo ports (ports 25 / 26 are Copper RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet OR ports 27 / 28 are Mini-GBIC for SFP - Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet - Transceivers <- pay attention that if you use port 25 you can't use prot 27 and viceversa, the same is true for pair 26/28). Definitely port 3 is out-of-question for Gigabit Ethernet, it runs only at 10/100 Mbps speeds.
