What is the command to set cli-timestamp for each and every display command entered? I want my each display command to be tagged with current timestamp. I can see for Aruba switches, its "clock cli-timestamp". But seems, same does not work for hpe 5900 series. If anybody knows, pls help.

SolutionHi @Azad75 !
HPE FlexFabric 5900 are not ArubaOS-based, that is why this command doesn't work on them. As far as I know there is no direct analog for this command in Comware 7. Practically if you need to get the current time just before or after running a command, you need to use "display clock" command before or after running the actual command. Not very convenient and, I know. Another way is to run "display logbuffer reverse" and check the timestamp of the last run command, but I personally find this way inconvenient and use the first approach when needed.

Re: Cli timestamp
Hi Ivan,
Thanks for your post. I normaly set date&time for my terminal session which prints start & exit time for each session logs. But it's not so useful for my purpose. I need date&time print for every cli entered. Little disappointed that HPE OS skipped the option. It's very useful feature to justify some ops points in certain scenarios. So far i have seen this cli feature in XOS, JunOS and IPOS.
