DAC without switch

Hi ..
I want to connect two DL180 with NC550SFP 10GbE with a DAC without using a switch.
Does it work?
Is is like crossing automatic MDI / MDIX RJ45?

yes, it works, plug and play.

 

tested some TB of transfer for DR testing....
