from Procurve 2650 to 1Gbits switch (go to stack ?)
At the moment, we have a ProCurve 2650. All of its 48 ports and only one mini-GBIC port are used. We want to change it for a 1Gbits switch.
We think about the 2810-48G but we can have only 48 Ethernet ports and NO mini-GBIC port with this product (or 47 Ethernet & 1 mini-GBIC). So we think we must stack a 2810-48G with a 2810-24G to have the correct number of ports. Do you agree ?
If the answer is yes, can you make a diagram of the stracking operation (ports connections) ? This diagram will able to help me to understand the connections and to see the number of free ports (Ethernet & mini-GBIC).
Thanks a lot

Re: from Procurve 2650 to 1Gbits switch (go to stack ?)
2650 switch have 48 port 10/100 copper and 2 port 1Gbps copper/sfp (copper and sfp dual)port
2810-24G and 2810-48G switches have four sfp/copper (sfp and copper dual)port

Re: from Procurve 2650 to 1Gbits switch (go to stack ?)
my advice you can want upgrade 2650 switch
you can purchase 2848 for 1Gbps all port
or
2610-48 48port 10/100 2 port sfp 2 port copper 1Gbps switch
because 2650 L3 switch makeing routing
2810 only L2 switch and dont make routing
all port 1Gbps L3 switch 2848 (cheap)
but 2610 include many extra speciality
access control list ,routing etc.
