How to a interface J4859C with FOC LC-LC type patch chord which is connected to HP 3500yl 24G?

Dear All,

It is my first post on HP forums.

My Question is, 

How this FOC Patch Chord LC-LC type and SFP HP J4859C model be connected to 3500yl  24G switch? will their be any external connection for both, if not, then why is it called interface device for FOC? 

How J4859C is capable of interface to 3500's Switch and FOC Patch Chord (LC-LC type)

Please advice .

Your question isn't entirely clear, but a J4859C SFP would plug into any of the 3500 SFP switchports numbered 21-24. An LC-LC fibre patch lead would patch into the J4859C SFP.

As addition to Vince's post sometimes pictures say a thousand words.

Before inserting the transceiver, pull down the blue latch

Insert the transceiver in the desired transceiver port

Pull up the blue latch ("locking" the transceiver)

Insert the LC connector in the transceiver
