HP Procurve Audit
HI all,
We need to do an audit to update our documentation, one being port mapping.
Rather than physically trace the cables to the ports then correlate this with network sockets, is it possible to go onto the Switch console and see what devices are using the ports,
IE Port 1 on the switc,h plugs into port 1 on the patch panel but we want to know what device is on the other end rather than routing behing desks trying to find the correct socket number.
Thanks
Mark

Re: HP Procurve Audit
Solarwinds have a good switchport mapper.
IMC gives you partial information under "IP/MAC Learning Query".

Re: HP Procurve Audit
Have you tried these commands on the ProCurve switch consoles?
show arp
show mac-address
show lldp info remote
