IP Address Count exceeded limit 5412zl switch

Hi,

Im writing this post to see if anyone have information on how to solve this error sent by an 5412zl HP Switch.

I have 2 core switches (5412zl) with MSTP and VRRP enabled, both are connected via a CX4 cable trunk, right now im having a strange warning in my root core switch :

Apr 10 07:00:00 10.19.16.1 00830 inst-mon:  Limit for IP addr count (10000) is exceeded (538887)

So far i don't have any issues but im wonder if this is a warning of a mayor problem coming.

I haven't found any info related to the "IP addr count" warning on any place, so i would be very happy if someone has any info on what could be causing this warning and how should be troubleshoot.

Best Regards.

Luis Dominguez.

Re: IP Address Count exceeded limit 5412zl switch

The routing table on the 5412zl can only hold 10000 routes. New routes are probably not learned from routing neighbours.
