Ip arp-mcast-replies
Hey everyone. I was needing some help with an NLB cluster and an HP 3800 L3 core switch running version KA.15.09.0012. We recently setup a multicast NLB cluster on our server network and we get horrible ping times/dropped connection. I ran netmon and found that all traffic for the NLB cluster has been hitting every other Server as well. I sadly found out I couldn't statically add ARP entries but I had read that using IP arp-mcast-replies would fix the issue. But when I view my ARP table it still shows this:
172.16.1.60 03bfac-10013c dynamic
There is no port entry and all traffic is still hitting every server. Is there an update to where I can statically add an ARP address like you can with a Cisco switch? Any help and or ideas are appreciated. If you need more information please let me know. Thanks.
Matt

Re: Ip arp-mcast-replies
Hi Duffman667,
Here is a post from some time back which touches on the issue you are experiencing...

In a nutshell I think you need to make sure you have Multicast-IGMP enabled on the WNLB and IGMP enabled on the switch, then arp-mcast-replies should work, I have not tested this myself so can not verify this but it sounds like a viable option.
