(J8773A) HP Procurve 4208v1
Hi,
on the web site embedded on the above switch the Port status screen suggests that the switch ports are labelled with a current mode column. What exactly does that show? Is it a general real-time attempt to display the level of bandwidth being used on that port? So will it change on its own?
Or is it the set coinfiguration on that port? e.g Can i change it?

Re: (J8773A) HP Procurve 4208v1
The column you refer to in the webinterface shows the speed value when active or default value when inactive. On that page you can not change that value.
To set a port to a fixed speed/duplex in the webinterface you need go to the Configuration tab and select port configuration, highlight the port(s) you want to configure and click on Modify Selected Ports button on the right bottom. You can highlight multiple ports simultanious if they need the same values.
