Loop back Problem
Dear All,
I have Switch HP 2530 ( J9773A-24G-POE), And I want know if this switch has "Ethernet Ring Protection Switching Protocol" or not? To avoid data loop back problem or sothing like that.
If there is, How can I adjust this setting?
Is there any model support that avoid data loop back problem if Switch HP 2530 ( J9773A-24G-POE) doesn't have any setting to avoid data loop back problem

Re: Loop back Problem
Hi @DiaaMohamedGa !
According specifications here https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/getdocument.aspx?docname=4aa4-4245enw this model does not support ERPS.
For ERPS support you need ArubaOS CX-based device with s/w ArubaOS-CX 10.3 and newer, for example:
Aruba 8320 Switch Series - https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/getdocument.aspx?docname=a00029141enw
Aruba 8325 Switch Series - https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/getdocument.aspx?docname=a00056519enw
Aruba CX 8360 Switch Series - https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/getdocument.aspx?docname=a00094643enw
ARUBA CX 8400 SWITCH SERIES - https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/getdocument.aspx?docname=a00021508enw
Another way to avoid Layer 2 loops in Ethernet networks is good old STP that is supported on absolutely all our switches. Not sure if it works for you, but consider that option as well as it works for 95% of our customers. Ring topologies with sub-50 ms failover requirement is not something usual and widely deployed, to be honest. Are you 100% sure you need exactly ERPS and STP doesn't fit your requirements?
