Help, my Network goes down for 3 seconds at a time, at least 10 times per day! I am using ProCurve Switch 2610-48-PWR (J9089A). I have checked my battery backup system and it is fine. Any solutions? Thanks.
What actually stops working? Since it is only for 3 seconds I would assume it is not a power issue to the switch since it would take longer for the switch to restart. Does this happen at the same 10 times everyday? Is is everynode on the switch or just specific nodes. Is the switch connected to other swithces and do they stay running fine?
Lastly, were any changes made just before this started to happen?
With nothing else to go on, and seemingly not the power (see David's post), I would take a guess at spanning tree (STP) causing the outage as it reconvereges after a loop or other STP change.
Try these commands to get more info:
show logging -r show spanning-tree show spanning-tree root-history cst
Hi,
...is it possible that there is another device with the same Ip-adress in your network? - Just simple, but i had the same
problem...
