We have a ProCurve 5406zl (J8697A), this is the older model replaced by J9642A in 2010. The switch doesn't seem to have the premium software upgrade.
I asked our supplier to provide a 10GbE 5m DAC SFP+ cable and they sent a X240 (JG081C)
Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work. show tech trans says "??" as Type and indicates Self test failure.
What could I do to correct this situation?
Is there another SFP+ DAC cable I can use and if so what product no. would that be?
Or could the solution be at the switch, upgrading? We're currently running K.15.04.0003
Thanks in advance,
tomhkr

SolutionDAC X240 (JG081C) is not supported in this unit, that is why you get the error message.
You need one of the following:
(Edit)
Click link, choose TAB accessories and click "cables".
