Hi.
I'm stuck with a routing issue on a 5406zl.
I have a couple of vlans that are routed through the 5400. I have set a static route to our gateway: ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. That's all working fine.
I would like to tell the 5400 to route traffic from certain source addresses to a second gateway. I am trying to use the new policy based routing features to do this. I have created a prefix-list for the addresses as well as a route-map with a match for the prefix-list + a set ip next-hop statement.
Now, how do I apply this route map? In the documentation I only see references to route redistribution policies. How can I apply the route map to an interface/vlan?
I haven't yet been able to find anything that can help me in the right direction. ATM i'm simply setting alternative gateways as well as static routes on the hosts, but I would love to be able to control this in the switch.
Thank you in advance

SolutionHello,
please have a look at the release notes of K.15.06.0006:
Policy Based Routing (PBR)
■ Enhancement (PR_0000072658) - PBR provides the ability to manipulate a packet’s path based on attributes of the packet. Traffic with the same destination can be routed over different paths, so that different types of traffic, such as VOIP or traffic with special security requirements, can be better managed. For more information, see the "Classifier-Based Software Configuration" chapter in the Advanced Traffic Management Guide for your switch.
Cheers,
Michael

Re: Policy Routing on 5400zl
Hi Michael.
Excactly what I was looking for!
I was reading the Muticast and Routing Guide. Missed that note :)
Turn out I need V2 modules for this feature to work, so I need to swap some modules around before I can test.
Thank you for your help!
All the best
