Procurve 1700-8 Vlans
We are researching using separate VLANs on a 1700-8 switch.
Here is an example of our layout.
PORT 1 PORT 2 PORT 3 PORT 4 PORT 5 PORT 6 PORT 7 PORT 8
VLAN 1/2 VLAN2 VLAN2 VLAN1 VLAN1 VLAN1 VLAN1 VLAN1
We wnat PORT 1 to be able to talk to both VLANs 1 & 2.
I can do that if I change its PVID under the Port Config for VLANS but it will not talk to both.
Is there a setting I am missing here?
Thank you!

Re: Procurve 1700-8 Vlans
One or both of the VLANs will be tagged on the port, so whatever you connect to that port must support 802.1q tagging as well.
