Replacing a Module

I am replacing a 10/100/1000 PoE module in our HP Procurve switch. From what I have read this is a seemless replacement. I wanted to make sure this is as seemless as I see in all the HP literature. HP states that all you need to do is replace the module and all configurations will stay. For those who have done this before please tell me it as easy as I read.
