sh mac-add eth 2
Can someone tell me why some of the ports will not show the mac-add of the device plugged in even though the port status is up and shown traffic. but no mac-address

Hello Amks,
For example you may try:
show mac-address | i A2
This will show the device connected to port A2.
Hope this helps!
Edit:
I tested on 2930 and it "show mac-address ethernet 1" is working properly and showing the learned mac-address on the port. What is your device and software version.
