System temp 9999 c
We have numerous 5400zl switches, this case 5412zl are all starting to show system temp of 9999c. Running K.15.04.0007 firmware...it is obviously incorrect, anyone have any clue? Our monitoring App giving us many alarms.

Re: System temp 9999 c
Does the issue remain after a reboot? If yes, I would contact HP Support. Sounds like the temperature is not translated correctly. Could be HW or SW or a combination. It is a cosmetic issue as I don't believe your switches have melted.. but indeed a problem for your monitoring software.

Re: System temp 9999 c
same here, using oid 1.3.6.1.2.1.99.1.1.1.4.11.
after a reboot temp value is correct, but it turns back to 9999 after some amount of time.
quite annoying.

Re: System temp 9999 c
We bought also 2 5412zl (K.15.06.0008) with them same error
The command "show system temperature" displays the following message:
System Air Temperature
# Current Temp Max Temp Min Temp Threshold Over Temp
-------- ------------ ---------- ---------- ----------- ----------
+ Sys-1 9999C 22C 21C 55C NO
9999C ? We had high power cooling equipment in our datacenter.
Can Anybody help us?

Re: System temp 9999 c
Hi,
No problem here with a 3500yl, but it should be relevant to chassis not for stand-alone.
3500yl-24G-LaB-IdF# show system temperature
System Air Temperature

+ Sys-1 31C 35C 31C 55C NO

Re: System temp 9999 c
Oh, we have opened a case with HP, they keep saying upgrade firmware, which has not resolved the issue.
