As topic!

First it initializing and then decompressing and then it goes back to initializing.
"initializing....initialization done.

Re: Updated Procurve 2824 with wrong firmware, howto recover?
Look for "Restoring a Flash Image" in the docs, like page C-44 in http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02565623/c02565623.pdf

Re: Updated Procurve 2824 with wrong firmware, howto recover?
My best advice is:
- power on the switch
- connect with using a serial console cable.
- open a console session using teraterm, Putty or other terminal emulator.
- press the buttons RESET + CLEAR simultaneously for about 20 seconds and release RESET.
- after the self TEST led stops flashing release the CLEAR button.
If you get into the Boot Monitor...
Switch >Press help or ?
than...
- issue the command " jp 2 " (jump to secondary (flash))
Switch>jp 2
If the switch boots from the Secondary flash it is recommended to update your switch (both images).
If the unit turns back to the faulty status, call the HP Support, explain the procedure that you have followed and request the replacement of the unit.
Hope it helps.
Best regards,
Jo├гo.
