[Wanted] 48 port edge switch

Hi,

I have to replace a bunch of Cisco 2950 switches. What do I need:

- IGMPv3
- MLD snooping
- working IPv4 ACLs

- working ICMP ACLs

- working IPv6 ACLs

- working ICMPv6 ACLs
- 1 power supply is enough
- ARP table: 2000 entries

- ND table: 2000 entries

- DHCP reley plus working IPv4 DHCP snooping

- DHCPv6 relay plus working DHCPv6 snooping
- SNMPv3
- 1 U height, but maximum deepness 30 cm

- no POE

- no stacking

- no routing

- no 10Gbe
- price: 2000$ max for 48x 1Gbe RJ45  ports plus 2x SFP

- long /good software support

- low noise if possible

It would be great, if you could give me some hints for or against a switch. Which one would you buy? Which one would you avoid? (btw. vendor doesn´t matter.)

Re: [Wanted] 48 port edge switch

Check out the HPN configurator.

The 2530 or 2920 would be a good place to start looking. The 2530 is very quiet (even with POE) and is well priced, but may not meet your criteria. The 2920 is just released, and exceeds your criteria - but might also exceed your budget.
