Where can I inform about a possible BUG on IOS?
Hi To All,
Today I've updated one of my 5406zl Switches to K.15.04.0007 version and I have found a curious thing on a command.
AAPP-Planta3# sh flash
Image Size (bytes) Date Version
----------------- ------------ -------- --------------------
Primary Image : 10094820 05/06/10 K.14.60
Secondary Image : 14151598 05/27/11 K.15.04.0007
Boot ROM Version : K.15.13
Default Boot : Secondary
Ok... If I execute the command show mac-address I can obtain the following result:
AAPP-Planta3# sh mac-address a10
Status and Counters - Port Address Table - A10
MAC Address VLAN
------------- ----
002497-a8f631 180
It's simple.... Only a MAC (002497-a8f631) located on VLAN 180. If I execute the command sh mac-address vlan I can obtain this:
AAPP-Planta3# sh mac-address vlan 228
Status and Counters - Address Table - VLAN 228
MAC Address Port
------------- --------
002497-a8f631 A10
The same MAC (002497-a8f631) on the same port (A10) but, this is the weird thing, in a diferent VLAN 228.
AAPP-Planta3# sh cdp neighbors detail a10
CDP neighbors information for port A10
Port : A10
Device ID : SEP002497A8F631
Address Type : IP
Address : 10.228.182.236 ===> The device, a CISCO IP Phone, got a VLAN 228 address.
Platform : SCCP45.9-0-2SR1SCisco IP Phone 7945
Capability :
Device Port : Port 1
Version : SCCP45.9-0-2SR1SCisco IP Phone 7945
The device, a CISCO IP Phone, got a VLAN 228 address. And this is correct, because all the VoIP Phones received from DCHP a 10.228.X.X address from the VLAN 228.
So.... Why when I execute the command sh mac-address [port] the VLAN is different?
This is a BUG? Where can I report it?
Thanks in advance and greetings from Spain.

Thanks a lot for your information. I've called a few moments ago an I've open a case.
So.... waiting... :-)
