Folks
I'm guessing I'm missing something obvious but is it possible to add more than one vDisk to a DR group.
Many things would seem to indicate that it is such as the DR Group having a statistic for the number of vDisks it contains and even the use of the word 'group' but I can't for the life of me find a way to add a second vDisk to a DR group using CV EVA.
I've an 8000 replicating to a 6000, both on VCS 5.030 and am using the latest version of Command View as far as I'm aware (6.02)
I've no problem getting replication to work but only with a DR Group per vdisk.
thanks
tommy

Re: Adding multiple vDisks to a DR Group
I add more than one vdisk to the same DR_GROUP in this way:
In the left pane, select Replication - DR Groups
Right Click the Source DR_GRoup and select Add Members
You will be presented a list of vdisks that are not in another DR Group.
Select the vdisk and complete the wizard.

Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Solution
Using CV EVA, go to Virtual Disks and the vdisk you want to add to the DR group.
Click on the 'Data Replication' tab and in the top left of the window is a button: 'Add Member'. The rest should be fairly self-explanatory.
By the way, if you have the option, use HP's RSM (Replication Solutions Manager) software - it's far easier to set up DR groups with multiple members than CVE.

Re: Adding multiple vDisks to a DR Group
Thanks folks
Had completely missed the Data Replication tab on the vDisk properties. A touch embarrasing.
