Re: Command view eva : HTTP Status 404, Not Found
is this a new installation?
It sounds like your EVA is at VCS version 3.010 or up, but the Storage Management Appliance (SMA) is running an old version of CommandView EVA (likely CV-EVA v3.0).
You need CV-EVA V3.1 for current EVA firmware, but it is no longer distributed with the SMA.
If that is the probem, look for the Storage Operations Manager (SOM) media kit (T2538AA). It contains the CD-ROM with CV-EVA V3.1.

SolutionI also suggest that you try local launch of the CV and also make sure that Java 1.4.1-3 is installed on the remote station.
You can also check from "Manage Tools" if CV is started.
In case you are still at CV3.0 and you need to upgrade to CV3.1 then make sure the appliance software is v2.1 otherwise you need to update to v2.1 first.

Farid

9 out of 10 the Command View EVA service is not running. (In windows this is the nsaserver service).

Re: Command view eva : HTTP Status 404, Not Found
Response :
Hi,
Thanks Uwe Zessin for the response
The solution was the Java installation as though it was installed it wasn't functioning properly so I re-installed and am now up and running again
thanks to Erwin van Londen and Farid Abizeed
and I realise that my questions wasn't as detailed as it should have been
