Solution
You must install a HP provided software for this.
You can download the software from here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=421504&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=421503&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1043
Points are welcome ;).

Re: Connectivity problem EVA 4000 with IBM AIX 5.3 ML5
You can ignore the 'devices.fcp.array'. This message shows up frequently for unknown reasons to me. However, that error should not cause any issues at all in accessing the EVA storage from your AIX server.
You can determine the size of a disk using the 'bootinfo -s hdiskx' command. This will only work before the disk is part of a volume group.
The software kit that Ivan referred you to contains ODM entries to properly define the EVA disks as MPIO-capable devices as well as their attributes. It also provides some commands which are put into the /opt/hphsv/bin directory upon installation. And as Ivan pointed out, that kit is required.
Installing the kit Ivan pointed you to requires that the IBM MPIO fileset be installed first - devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte
A good document that describes the installation process and using the commands, etc is located here:

Best regards,
