Critical SAN host Crash

One of my SAN connected servers has died. Can I move the HBA's to another server that has been given the dead one's name and IP address,
and that server see the SAN space/data that was presented to the dead one? Will the replacement server need any software loaded in order to utilize the SAN space/data?

Hello,

yes, if you move the HBA and you have a port or WWN based zoning, the new host will "see" the presented disks. Depending on you operating system, you have to install drivers and multi-pathing software.
