Disable one port on dual port HBA

I have a server with an HPAE312A dual port HBA adapter. I would like to disable one port on the adapter, since it is not connected to anything. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

Is this because you see the error in system management homepage? If so I believe I've seen another post about this in this forum.

What kind of OS are you running?

There are loopback adapters that you may want to look into.
