I am trying to get an emulex lp9002l to work with a hp msa1000 without success.Currently the lp9002l-f2 cards have the foloowing spec:
Functional Firmware: 3.90a
Boot Bio3: 1.61a2
Win2k driver: 5.4.54.7 (KGPSA)
Now at present they will not detect the controllor but when I install a compaq card 245299 fc2101 it will work straight away. I have also tried using the emulex driver but again without success. I would be grateful if you could help me with this matter

Solution
I guess that just goes to show that you should use the HP adapter... ;-}
Since the card in question is unsupported, I have no information about compatability.
Please try contacting Emulex for support - the MSA sounds like it's working to specs since it works with the FCA-2101.
Good luck,
Vince

Re: emulex card
FCA2101 is an Emulex LP952L FC adapter. Try drivers from emulex.
I do not think you can simply remove one and install another adapter (even having the same emulex chip) and run. Try uninstalling FCA2101, then rebooting, then installing 9002L and installing drivers 'from the scratch'. This way you'll be sure registry is up-to-date

Re: emulex card
Thank for replying, I had already tried uninstalling all cards, didnt work. I have recieved a reply from Emulex and they claim it will only work with lp952. "The cheaper option aint going to work" thanks again.
