ESL9326 via 'FC Bridge 1/4' not visible on Hostsystem
Hi Guy's,
i've an issue with connecting from host to our ESL. I'm really a newbie and need your help.
Configuration:
ESL9326
-connected to-
Fibre Bridge 'FC 1/4 HV'
-connect to-
'Silkworm Switch' 2/16
-connect to-
FCA2214 on a Dl380 G03
The connection between Switch & FibreBridge is okay, running at 1GB/s in Loop Mode.
When connecting via WebGui(Configuration Info Page):
DiscoveryMode: Discovery Off
FC Port Mode: AutoSense-Hard AL_PA
Fibre Channel to Mapping Mode: Indexed
ESL and 2 Drives are visible in the Mapping Table
Any ideas? i'll go on further testing
rg, mike

Re: ESL9326 via 'FC Bridge 1/4' not visible on Hostsystem
I would try experimenting w/the FC Port Mode on your Library. I also would look at possibly hard setting your ports to static speed if you have a 2Gb fibrebridge and a 1gb switch. drop down to 1Gb. Also if your running a fabric you should not be running a Loop Config. Make sure that you created the appropriate aliases for the bridge and servere hba and have the WWID of your Fibre Bridge and the server's WWID in the same zone and don't forget to save and enable the config when done.
Hope this helps,

Re: ESL9326 via 'FC Bridge 1/4' not visible on Hostsystem
Hi Mike,
Not sure whether Fibre Bridge 'FC 1/4 HV' is in supported list of ESL9326 or not? You may check for supportability. Also, see whether device map is filled or not? usually it's empty at initial setup, you may need to fill it with "BUS, TARGET, LUN" Sequence. Also see if the devices can be seen to NSR or not?

Re: ESL9326 via 'FC Bridge 1/4' not visible on Hostsystem
gosh,
after creating zones and reseting the FC Bridge (additional set Speech to N-Port) the devices are seen ( both TapeDrives under TapeDevcies and the ESL Robotic with exclamation mark)
... after 5 minute .. it collapse and the ESL is no longer visible
now i'm trying to reproduce
PS: may there is an FC - Cable issue?!
