I am planning to expand the capacity of a exsiting Raid 5 storageset on an MA8000 by adding two more hard drives. Is it possible? Thanks.

Solution
IF this has the HSG80 controllers, and you did not create these as concatsets, then you cannot expand the raidset in it's present form.
Untested thoery here. If you delete the UNIT/LUN and then create a concatset from the raidset, you should be able to then create a unit from the concatset. I would then check to see that I still had my data. Now you can create/add another raidset and then add this new raidset to the concatset.
Since Concatsets only work with raidsets according to the manual, you would have to add 3 drives, and not a mirrorset.

Re: Expand the existing Raidsets
Ok, after some more research...http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/UCR/SupportManual/TPM_ek-g80cl-ra-b01/TPM_ek-g80cl-ra-b01.pdf
It looks like you can do what you want. You need to make a unit of the new drives first, and tehn you can add both storageset to make a concatset.
Read the manual please!
