I'm working with a customer who's just installed a new 2C18D EVA8100. This customer is running a series of DBMS's (MS SQL, SAP and Oracle) on W2K3 Server Systems.
We are now testing vdisk extending capabilities using MS Diskpart. We understand the basic capabilities and procedures, but are concerned about any potential problems when extending the DB datadisks?
Are there any "best practices" when using Diskpart to extend vdisks? Can/should Diskpart Extend be run while databases are active??
Any advise or recommendations??

From what I remember (haven't touched this in years), you certainly shouldn't do it 'online'.
If using diskpart concerns you, have a look at this product which handles it all niceley rom a MMC snap-in and can be run online:
