FC san switch: GUI admin login failed

When I try to logon to the admin section of the FC switch using the webbrowser I get the following message:
Error: Failed to load certificate

Using telnet gives no problem.

I'm using IE 5.5 sp2. The firmware of the switch: v3.2.0

Gea:

You may have a java issue and might need to either re-install or update your Java software. Usually 1.4.2 works well, but sometimes you need an earlier version for those older switches like 1.3.1.

Re: FC san switch: GUI admin login failed

Thanks for your reply.
It works now, it was a proxy issue.
I had to edit the local registry key proxy_override on my pc.

Re: FC san switch: GUI admin login failed

Gea,
I have the same problem with GUI admin login after switch firmware upgrade (from 3.1.3b to 3.2.0a). Telnet login works fine but GUI not.
Please, can you write more details about your solutions? What registry settings you edited and why? Thanks.

Re: FC san switch: GUI admin login failed

Hi Miloslav,

What i did was adding the ip-adress of the switch in the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrectVersion\Internet Settings\ProxyOverride.

This was on a NT 4 pc.

Re: FC san switch: GUI admin login failed

You effectively can do the same thing in your IE browser by going to "Tools" -> "Internet Options", then click on the "Connections" tab. Click on the "Lan Settings" button, then click on the Advanced button. Add the ip address or dns name in the exceptions list seperated by a ";" and no spaces (i.e. myserver1.domain.com;192.168.1.1)
If there is no solution then there is no problem
