HSG80 Firmware and Hardware Revision numbers

Hi, I have a few SANs where the controllers have different hardware revision numbers, as shown below:

V87F-1 Top:E03 bottom:E16 (for example)

Is this setup ok, or should harware revision be the same?

Compaq Replaced all of ours that where below E05 I want to say about 1-2 years ago. I forget exactly why they swapped them. I would ask about the E03. But it will work.

I have the following combo's running.
E05 & E05.
E05 & E09.
E06 & E06.
E09 & E16.
E10 & E10.
E11 & E12.
E14 & E14.
E16 & E16.

Hello,

All HSG80 controllers should be at Hardware Rev E08 or above. This was introduced as a manatory upgrade when ACS V8.6-1 became the lowest supported firmware rev.

The hardware rev's do not need to be the same in a pair on controllers.
