MPR Configuration
Hello All,
I was setting up my Meta San and I got something I couldn't understand.
I have two fabrics connected by two MPRs with FCIP with fabric IDs 1 and 2. To be able to do that I created one VEX_Port on the first router and a VE_Port on the second with the IP interfaces the IP routes and the tunnel IDs.
If I check on my first MPR I see both fabrics with backbone and edge respectively. However if I check on the second one I only see the correspondant fabric of the MPR. I am able to see proxy devices and physical devices and actually I am able to manage both EVA from my first SMA.
on the first MPR the output of the fabric show is 4 switches ( two san switches, the mpr and I think the proxy router coming from the other site). If I check on the other router I see 5 fabric switches :( .
I couldn't understand why on the "HP Web Tools Administrator Guide" there is no mention of the Tunnel ID and creating tunnels, however on the "Fabric OS Administration guide" it is mentioned that you should create a tunnel to be able to create the connection.
I followed what is mentioned in the fabric OS Administrator's guide and I created two tunnels each on one router using the same port with the correspondant configuration. However I smell something fishy in the output I got.
What do you think?

Re: MPR Configuration
Hi Jacky,
Not sure what exactly your problem is, but are both your tunnels UP? And did you e.g. create LSAN-zones for managing a remote SAN with your local SMA?

Re: MPR Configuration
Yes I created the tunnels and I have full connection between backbone and edge. However on the Edge router I see only one fabric the local one and I see it as Backbone. I thought I should see it as Edge but looks fine and now I am replicating without any problem.
