Is HP planning to support MSA1000 active/active configurations in the near future? MSA1500 active/active configs are
supported with the right firmware...

The last I heard is that Active/Active for the MSA1000 would be available by the end of the year.

Fingers crossed this timescale doesn't slip anymore !

Last I heard the next firmware release was 'soon' i.e. end of 06, beginning of 07.

It was rumoured to be Active-Active capable.

However, nothing has been released yet.... still have my fingers crossed.

Still in progress. We had a minor setback in releasing in 06. If everything goes as planned, maybe a couple of weeks. But don't hold me to it. :)

Does anybody have any more updates on the availability of the MSA1000 active/active firmware? I'm holding off deploying a VMware ESX 3.0 cluster in hopes that I can use an active/active setup. If I knew whether the firmware was only going to be a couple weeks away or a couple of months away (or never) that would help me decide if I want to wait for the new firmware or just deploy it as active/passive. I'm hoping to have active/active soon!

The latest HP advisory mentions v.5.20 (A/P) and v.7.0 (A/A) firmware for the MSA1000.... a sign of things to come !

The FW is still a go for a 2/14 release. It could take a day. Make sure you refresh your browser.
