SolutionHere is an explanation of the Fault from the MSA1000 Service and Maintenance Guide.
Link :
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManual〈=en&cc=us&docIndexId=179111&taskId=101&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=377751
30 I2C READ FAILURE
Error The MSA has a number of internal devices that are accessed via an I2C
hardware bus. One of these devices failed when attempting to read from it.
Certain I2C devices are considered critical and will result in a failure of the
array controller while others may result in some loss of functionality (such as lost
display messages).
Further Diagnosis might be required, and if the fault is genuine, then the EMU module might have to replaced.

Prabhu

Re: MSA1000 OCP Error
You need to have a call logged with Hp and provide them the logs from the MSA for analysis.
Have you checked the status of LED's on the MSA??
For Your Reference.
Steps to collect Logs from MSA1000.
1.)Connect the serial cable which was shipped with the MSA1000 disk array into the MSA1000 active controller.
2.)Open an Windows HyperTerminal Session, Please set the Communication settings to :
19200 baud, 8 data, NO parity, 1 Stop and no Flow Control.
3.)Click on Transfer on the Hypertrm Window, Click Capture text and save the text file to Desktop.
4.)Run the following command on the hypertrm session
CLI> SHOW TECH_SUPPORT
If the above command is not available for any reason please execute the following:
CLI> SHOW THIS_CONTROLLER
CLI> SHOW OTHER_CONTROLLER
CLI> SHOW UNITS
CLI> SHOW DISKS
CLI> SHOW CONNECTIONS

Re: MSA1000 OCP Error
As advised by you the MSA is operational and the Volumes from them are OK.
Regarding the error message displayed, have you tried re-booting the controller to check.
The current firmware level on MSA is 4.32 (Active/Passive) and I see that its a Single Controller and there is no second Controller present or its either not started.
I would recommend that you update the firmware on the MSA to @least 4.48(Active/Passive)

Let me know your thoughts on this.

Re: MSA1000 OCP Error
From the logs, it looks ok to me, but as always would recommend that we have a full backup before making any changes.
