msa1000

We have put in a msa1000 new disks and config them to a new raid 5 volume.
Now we receive the message
Background parity initialization is currently queued or in progress on logical drive 2 ( RAID 5 in array B). If background parity initialization is queued, it will start when I/O is performed on the drive. When background parity initialization completes, the performance of the logical drive will improve. Background parity init.

What can we do next ?

Re: msa1000

Perform a single write operation from the host to the new logical disk if you have not done so. Increase the priority, but do not write any more data to the new logical disk until the init has finished.
