hello
i have one msa1000 whit 2 controller .
but controller 2 is offline.how to online this controller.
msa1000 have one san switch 2/8 and connect 8 server to divece msa.
please help.

Hi,
till the firmware 5.20 (5.30) the MSA is active/passive, which means that the second controller is only the standby and becomes active (online) only in the first controller failure
if you want to have active/active config, you should upgrade the MSA1k controller firmware to the 7.00 version

Hi,
Can you confirm the exact hardware configuration please...
It sounds like you have two controllers, but only one SAN switch 2/8 in the back of the MSA. If you want the second controller to be used, you need install a second SAN switch behind it.
