Re: pb P6300 drive Failed
Hi,
613921-001 is the right spare part number however we need to ensure it matches with the HP P/N used for SAS supported disk meant for EVA which is 619286-002.
One HP P/N (693569-002) is meant for disks in use for Servers and another HP P/N (619286-002) is used for SAS Disks supported only for EVA.
If the HP P/N number is 693569-002 then you will get the error "drive unsupported" when trying to group it.
Check the white stciker on the hard drive for the correct HP P/N number and contact the logistic from where you received the part.

Re: pb P6300 drive Failed
Hi,
The spare part numbers provided can be used in EVA as well as servers. However the seller or supplier has to prepare the disks to work in the EVA and test it before supplying. This is a factory setting.
Please identify the origin of these disks. The seller of the disks has not properly prepared them for the intended use with EVA.
Please contact the hard drive supplier or contact the Account support manager for assistance.
You may also log a support case if the hard drive has been supplied by HPE.

Re: pb P6300 drive Failed
hi
well i think the seller gives me the disks that not prepared to EVA.
i found a paper of test on a smart array for one disk. so my question there is a solution via the command view to accept these disks or i must change it again. because i see on internet that there is a EVA bit on disk it's possible to restore it.

Re: pb P6300 drive Failed
no i don't want to change/convert firmware.
i just want to restore the orignal firmware of this disk.
i restore the original firmware but it's same problem "drive unsupported".
so the EVA bit is not in firmware .i think there is a flag on disk.

SolutionHi,
As i mentioned earlier setting EVA bit is a factory setting which has to be taken care by the supplier, before dispatching.
We do not have any option or tool to set the EVA bit.
